Cold Springs - Hot Springs - Tarsiers - Chocolate Hills - and more .On our 7 day tour we will explore Bohol and Camiguin Island. Bohol, known for the Tarsiers and Chcololate Hills has great cycling to offer. In Jagna we take the boat to Camiguin, the "Island of Fire. We will explore hot springs, cold springs, Mantique Island (great snorkeling) and the amazing Island itself. After that we are heading back to Bohol and cycle to Panglao Island (Alona Beach).
Day 1: Cebu - Loboc Early morning a boat brings us to Tagbilaran, the capital of Bohol. After having lunch we will ride a quiet dirt road through small villages, past a small lake, and terraced rice paddys. It brings us up to a paved road where we will quickly find ourselves at the Tarsier Sanctuary. After learning about these unique nocturnal creatures and hopefully sighting one or two, we are back on the bikes for a fabulous winding ride down to the picturesque Loboc River and our resort. Day 2: Loboc - Carmen This morning we start early as we have a hill to conquer this morning. We pass the man made Mahogany forest, enjoying two kms of shade under the tall trees before we ride through rice fields and small villages. We take a break and have the opportunity to visit a butterfly garden. We continue our tour to the world famous Chocolate Hills. A short but steep climb takes us to the top of a hill that has been made into a viewpoint. Here we'll park the bikes and take in the views of these unique formations. After that we continue riding on to Carmen, where we have our rest for the day |
Day 3: Carmen - Sierra Bullones - Camiguin Today we cycle to Sierra Bullones on flat terrain. From here on a 15 km climb is waiting for us (no worries we can do parts of it in our service car). It's a tough climb, but it's through scenic terraced rice fields, so stop for photos and take a breather! When we have reached the top we have a great downhill of 20 km. Breathtaking views are guaranteed as we whiz by villages on our way to the coastal town of Jagna. Here we take a boat which brings us to volcanic Camiguin Island. Once we are back on terra firma we ride along the coastal road to our beachside resort.

Day 4: Camiguin Today we explore Camiguin Island. The riding offers up spectacular views of the blue sea and the green volcanoes wrapped in white clouds. We'll make frequent stops along the way to cool off at the various cold water springs and visit the sunken cemetery. We'll pass lots of villages and beautiful old wooden houses and your cameras should be handy for this picturesque day. |
Day 5: Camiguin
Today we have a well-deserved rest day and you have the option of taking a boat to visit the Matigne island marine sanctuary where there's some spectacular snorkeling or just lying in the hammock at the resort. There's also the option of taking the bike for the short ride to a dramatic 70 m waterfall. |
Day 6: Camiguin - Panglao (Alona Beach)
We ride to the pier and take the boat back to Bohol, After lunch in Jagna we get on the bikes and ride along the coast. We can stop for a swim in the shallow turquoise blue waters of the many beaches we pass. We'll stop in the town of Baclayon and take a look at the stone church, considered one of the oldest in the Philippines. We end the day at yet another stunning beach, this one is known for its white sands. |
Day 7: Panglao (Alona Beach) - Cebu
In the morning we can do some snorkeling and dolphin watching before we head back to Cebu City. |
